Mornings in the high desert

The sunrises here are something else. The colors run rich and the air stays clear enough to see every ridge line for miles. It's a reminder that we are part of something much bigger than ourselves.

The first light

Before the day fills with trail rides and bison tours the high desert near Zion holds a stillness that is hard to find anywhere else. Pink and gold spill across the cliffs first. Then the color moves down into the valley like water finding its level.

What the desert sounds like before sunrise

Cool air moves through the fields while the ranch is still quiet. A horse shifts its weight in the corral. A bird calls from somewhere out in the junipers. Wildlife stirs at the edge of the light long before any guest arrives. This is the ranch at its most honest.

Why we build the day around it

If you visit Rove & Ramble give yourself a morning. Step outside early. Watch the light change across the Vermilion Cliffs before the heat sets in and the day gets busy. That first hour sets the tone for everything that follows. It is one of the reasons we love stewarding this place.

To those looking for a change in pace. A new adventure. A new beginning. An old memory; We welcome you to rove and ramble with us.
